The turn of the year according to Western culture is already behind us. All over the world, the New Year 2016 was greeted with fireworks. In Chinese culture, according to the Chinese sun-moon calendar, we celebrate a second time on February 8, 2016 with the change from the wood goat to the fire monkey.

I will therefore show you the meaning of the New Year according to Feng Shui and Bazi Suanming.

Feng Shui

The Chinese solar calendar is used for Feng Shui. Thus, the sign of the fire monkey will appear on February 4, 2016. This changes the dangers of the year from the San He method:
Tai Sui (Grand Duke Jupiter) enters the sign of the Monkey (225 -255 ° ≈ WSW) and Sui Po (Year Breaker) enters the sign of the Tiger (45-75° ≈ ONE ). The San Sha (three devils) can now be found in the south. These directions should not be disturbed by massive work (renovations, earthworks, etc.). The best way to do this is to sit with your back to the WSW and look ONE or south.

According to the San Yuan method (flying stars), special attention is paid to the “Palace” of the Yellow Five. In 20116, the 5 “flies” to the northeast, so this “palace” should be avoided because the energy of the Yellow Five brings disaster. Depending on the influence of other flying stars and the room design, the disaster is weakened or strengthened.

A classic Feng Shui analysis can be used to address these issues in more detail during a consultation.

Bazi Suanming

From the classic Yuan Hai Ziping:
丙臨申位火無煙,若再叠逢陽水,難獲延年。 此仍陽火陽金之争,丙坐申是病。

Loosely translated:
When the celestial trunk +F (yang fire) sits on the earth branch M+ (monkey), the fire has no smoke. When it meets +W (Yang water), the fire burns only briefly. As a symbol: the battle between fire and metal (both yang) brings the position of the disease (chi: bĭng) of the 12 qi phases.

The earth branch M+ contains Yang earth, metal and water. This protects the Yang metal of the M+ (monkey) so that the Yang fire of the heavenly trunk cannot harm it (the earth branch).

In 2016, there is a lack of yin and therefore also a lack of consideration. In China, pure yang fire is a symbol of the battles between two warlords. The basic quality of the wood and therefore friendliness and fairness are also missing.

Symbolically, the year 2016 offers the opportunity to melt metal with fire and produce weapons. In addition, the conflict between fire and metal causes unrest.

The nayin for +FM+ is fire under the mountain, it symbolizes the sunset. The fire is therefore rather weak and the metal is not particularly “impressed”. According to Görtz, fire under the mountain stands for a person who doesn’t let people look at his cards, is suspicious and scrutinizes his partners. A friend who is warm-hearted and loyal, but who can also mercilessly draw a line in the sand.

I draw the following conclusions for 2016

In the first half, relationships are explored and possibly deepened. You hide behind a nice face. Then comes the time of decisions and now the fronts and thus friend and foe become clear, the armaments are built up. This will mainly take place in the second half of the year. The expression “separating the wheat from the chaff” fits very well.

In view of the situation in the Orient, the parties could gather their respective friends around them and expand the war.

In comparison, the two opposing German states consolidated 60 years ago (in the last fire monkey year) and began to build up their armies.
I draw a second comparison to 1836, 180 years ago. This means that not only is the year the same as the Fire Monkey, but the division according to San Yuan is also the same in Yuan 8:

  • Texan War of Independence
  • The USA admits further states to its territory.
  • New alliances were formed in South America and war ensued.

If you want to know in detail how the fire monkey influences your life, book a personal Bazi Suanming analysis.

I would like to thank Joseph Luk from Singapore and Felix Niakamal from Germany for their input.
